Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: April 2026

Our Commitment

The Bob Haddock Troop and Family Support Foundation is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that every member of the military community, their families, and our supporters deserve equal access to the information and resources we provide. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us, it is part of how we honor and serve the community we exist for.

Our Standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those with visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

What We Are Doing

We are actively working to ensure our website meets accessibility standards. Our ongoing efforts include:

  • Providing descriptive alt text on images so screen readers can convey visual content to users who are visually impaired.

  • Maintaining strong color contrast throughout our site to ensure readability.

  • Ensuring our site can be navigated using a keyboard for those who cannot use a mouse.

  • Using clear, plain language throughout our content so information is easy to understand.

  • Regularly reviewing our site for accessibility issues and making improvements as needed.

Known Limitations

While we strive to meet accessibility standards across our entire site, some content may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. We are actively working to identify and address any gaps. If you encounter a barrier or have difficulty accessing any part of our website, please contact us directly and we will do our best to provide the information you need in an alternative format.

Third Party Content

Our website may contain links to third party websites or embedded content that we do not control. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of those external sites, but we encourage all of our partners and linked resources to prioritize accessibility as well.

Contact Us

If you experience any difficulty accessing content on our website, have feedback about our accessibility, or need information provided in an alternative format, please reach out to us. We take all accessibility concerns seriously and will respond promptly.
